Mrs. Emeline Watson Passes Away at Home, East of City, After Long Illness.

Mrs. Emeline Watson, 72, wife of Strawder Watson. died at 11 o'clock yesterday morning at the family residence one mile east of Muncie. The deceased had been ill for more than a year. She was one of Delaware Couny's remaining pioneers, haing been born in this county and having lived here all her life. She had been married for fifty-six years. Strawder Watson, her husband, was at one time superintendent of the Delaware County Infirmary and held that position for several years. The family formerly lived in Mt. Township, but a few years ago removed to the present residence. The deceased is survived by the husband. three sons, James W., John and Levi Watson; two daughters, Mrs. Emma Sims and Mrs. May Fosnot; brothers, John and Warren Driscoll; and one sister, Julia Rees. The funeral services will be held from the Mt. Pleasant Church, near Daleville. Friday morning. The cortege will leave the residence at 9 o'clock. Interment will be made in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
