Died Suddenly
Mrs. S. C. Goshorn's Mother Dies at Her Cincinnati Home
The following article from the Cincinnati Enquirer, relates the sad death of Mrs. Barbara Trost, mother of Mrs. S. C.
Goshorn of this city. She was at her mother's bedside at the time of her death. Mrs. Barbara Trost, who died suddenly
of heart failure Tuesday morning, will be laid to rest at 2 o'clock this afternoon in the United Jewish Cemetery on
Walnut Hills. Mrs. Trost was in her seventy-ninth year when she died. She was born in Munich, Germany, but has resided
in this city over half a century, and was widely known in local Jewish circles. She was a very charitable woman, and
the poor never went empty handed from her door. She was a strong adherent to the orthodox Jewish faith, and although
she and her family were members of the Mound street temple, which is a reform congregation, she never attended service
there, but always worshipped in the Richmond street temple because it was more conservatinve. She leaves three children-
Miss Esther Trost and Mrs. J. H. Kahn, of this city, and Mrs. C. S. Goshorn, of Muncie, Ind. Rabbi David Philipson,
of the Mound street Temple will conduct the funeral services, both at the house and the cemetery.
