Daily Muncie News
The house of Wm. Stephenson, sittuated [sic] in the edge of Madison county, was entirely destroyed with its contents, Thursday night. The old adage that “misfortune never comes singly” is exemplified in this case. Mr. Stephenson had buried his only child, a boy nearly a year old, Thursday afternoon, and had been home but a short time when the house was discovered to be on fire. The flames had made much headway that it was impossible to stay their progress or same any thing.
