Laid to Rest
The funeral of the late Marion Snyder occured yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Christian church. Rev A. L. Orcutt, of New Castle, former pastor of the congregation, officiated, while the obsequies were conducted by the Knights of Pythias, of which organization the deceased was a respected and honored member. A large number of friends of the mourning family were present and the church was crowded, many being unable to gain entrance thereto. At the close of the services at the church the funeral cortege proceeded to the cemetery, headed by the S. of V. band, where the remains of one of Muncie's best young men were laid at rest.The uniform rank of the Knights of Pythias participated in the sad ceremonies it being the first appearance in public of that rank of the order in Muncie Mr. J. R. Hummel acted as commander and the Knights looked well in their new and attractive uniforms.
