There was a large attendance of friends at the funeral of the late Wm Messick which occurred at two o'clock Sunday afternoon from High St M E church. Rev C C Wade delivered an excellent discourse. The printers of the city were present in a body to pay their respects to one who has for a long time a representative of the are preservative of all arts. Compositors from the various newspaper offices of the city acted as pall bearers, At the close of the services at the church the body was taken to Beech Grove cemetery for interment. |
