Mr. Josiah McVicker, an aged and highly respected resident of Washington Township, died at his home near Wheeling on the 11th day of April. Mr. McVicker was born in the state of Virginia on the 15th day of June 1806, and at the time of his death was 83 years, 9 months, and 26 days old. The funeral occured at his late residence on Saturday, April 12 and Rev. O.C. Garretson conducted the services. The body was interred at the cemetery at Elizabethtown. Mrs. Amelia McVicker, wife of the deceased, is in her 76th year and lived with her husband for nearly fifty-six years. |
