Elizabeth Carmichael was born in Union County, Ind., April 16th, 1824. She was married April 27th, 1843, to Mr. George Louthain, and died at ten o'clock Wednesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Hayman, south of the city, aged 55 years and 11 months. Mrs. Louthain has, with her husband, been a resident of this county since their marriage, until about five months since, when they moved to Indianapolis. Three weeks ago she came to this city to attend the funeral of her son-in-law, William Hayman, and never returned home. Last Saturday, she complained of being ill, and repidly grew worse until on Wednesday death relieved her suffering. Her death was caused by lung fever. Mrs. Louthain was as estimable woman, loved and respected by all who knew her. The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement. He funeral will take place to-morrow morning at 10:30, from the residence of Mrs. Hayman. Rev. W. W. Witmer officiating.
