Samuel Von Lenox, 7-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. John lenox, died at Muncie of a very peculiar cause. The case completely baffled the medical fraternity and
a post-mortem examination was made. It was discovered that a small black bug had been swallowed by the boy and that it had eaten through his stomach and
intestines and to the heart. A hole had been eaten into the heart causing death from loss of blood.
