Muncie Loses an Honorable and Industrious Citizen
Mr. George Leager departed this life after many weeks of intense suffering at his late home on W. Jackson St. at 2:30 this morning
surrounded by his many friends, faithful wife and relatives. Mr. Leager had lived in Muncie for about 15 years, and in this time
has made friends among businessmen, and citizens by his Hon. business methods. He was a member of the Williams Post G. A. R.,
De Ember Tribe I. O. R. M. and has been a regular attendant to the Methodist Church in all his prosperous years. Mr. Leager leaves
a faithful wife who has the true sympathy of his many friends in her great trouble. The funeral will occur from the late residence
Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock, Rev. C. U. Wade officiating. The pallbearers will be Web Richey, Tom Harrington, Mart Mock,
Eph Smell, A. L. Kerwood, and James Meeks. Interment at Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends of the family invited.
