Mrs Lewis Kress Dies in Throes of Maternity
Doubly Sad is Untimely End of the Young Wife Just Past Twenty--The Funeral

Oletha, wife of Mr. Lewis Kress, the well-known grocer, died last evening at her home, corner of Howard
and Council streets. The death of this popular young woman will be a great shock to her many friends. Her
death is indeed pathetic and another instance of a mother's sacrifice, death having resulted from the effects
of undergoing the throes of maternity. The demise of the decesased is doubly sad. She had been married to Mr.
Kress only a little over a year. many will remember what a brilliantly happy marriage it was and to be nipped
in the bud of al her happiness after only one short year of bliss, seems too sad to be true. She was 20 years
of age and was loved by all who knew her. The deceased was the granddaughter of Mrs. A. M. Klein. A
heartbroken husband is left to mourn, a new born babe cries unconsciously of its woe.The funeral will be held
from the residence Tuesday at 2 o'clock. Interment at Beech Grove.
