Mrs. Catherine Jones died at 5:15 o'clock last evening of pneumonia, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Whitney, 510 Windsor street The deceased was aged eighty-one years and had been ill for some time. The funeral will occur from the residence Sunday, at 10 a. m., and interment will take place at Sparr's cemetery, northeast of the city. Mrs. Jones was the grandmother of Mrs. Dr. Spurgeon, and at her advanced age was unable to survive the shock resulting from the attack of pneumonia. Her death, while not entirely unexpected, does not in the least detract from the deep grief of the many friends. She was a lady whose life was full of good deeds, and her many acts of kindness endeared her to all who know her. |
