The funeral of John Guthrie, an account of whose death from a kick by a horse appeared in these columns last week, occurred from his late home in Liberty township day before yesterday, the account of it reaching us too late for Monday's paper. The services were held at tabor Church by Rev B Smit of this city at eleven o'clock, after which the remains were tenderly laid at rest in the Tabor Church cemetery. Mr B Smith was the minister also who married Mr Guthrie to Miss jane inlow. The services were well attended, it being a very large funeral. |
