Volney Gibson, Pioneer Resident Of Muncie Dies

Volney Gibson. 62. one of Muncie's best-known pioneer residents, died at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon at his residence, 212 East Gilbert
street, following an extended illness. He is survived by the widow. Mrs. Cynthia Gibson; four daughters. Mrs. Harry Bowman, Mrs. Harry
Macauley, Mrs. Harry S. DeVoe and Gladys Gibson: one son. Solomon Gibson, now in France: three brothers. John Gibson, William Gib-
son and Garrett Gibson: two sisters. Mrs. A. P. Andrews and Miss Paulina Gibson. The funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock
Monday afternoon at Jackson Street Christian Church, with the Rev, F. E. Smith in charge. Burial will be made in Beech Grove Cemetery.
