Death Of Miss Anna Eiler Friday Afternoon Miss Anna Eiler, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Eiler, died at the family residence, on West Charles street at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon, after an illness extending though a period of nine weeks. The funeral will be held from the residence Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Miss Eiler was born July 4, 1865. She attended school in Muncie and was a member of the graduating class of '82. A number of years ago Miss Eiler became ill and was an invalid until two years ago. She began the Christian Science treat- ment and was greatly benefited; so much so that she was enabled to leave her couch and to all appearances was fully recovered. Nine weeks ago when she was taken ill she refused to take any medicine and rapidly declined. Miss Eiler told her relatives that she had given up all hope of becoming strong again, and in fact did not care to live any longer. Miss Eiler was a beautiful woman possessed of numerous accomplishments, and her many friends greatly mourn her death. |
The many friends of Miss Anna Cassady Eiler will be grieved this morning to learn of her death. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Eiler. Death occurred at 4:15 o'clock yesterday afternoon, at thei home corner of Charles and Liberty streets. Miss Eiler had been much of an invalid for twelve or fifteen years, and this fatal illness was or nine weeks duration. Miss Eiler was born in this city, at the same location where she passed away, July 4, 1865, living there all her life. She was a bright and active girl, taking much interest in her studies, being a member of the class of '82. She was the third of this class to die. Besides her parents, Miss Eiler had one sister, Miss Erma, who resides with her parents. The time for the funeral services has not been fixed, but it will probably be Monday afternoon at the residence. |
The body of Miss Anna Eiler can be viewed at the late residence Sunday afternoon from 12 until 4 o'clock. The funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence. The Re. W. H. Oxtoby will have charge. |
