Mrs. Lula Bowers, of Sharon, Penn., is in the city, having been called by the illness of her grandmother, Mrs. Joseph M. Davis, whose death occurred yesterday morning.

Mr. John W. Chipman, of Indianapolis, arrived in this city Saturday evening to attend the funeral of his aunt, Mrs. Joseph Davis. He returned home last evening.
