Herbert, son of Ira E amd Lucie Crampton was born Nov 10, 1882, and died Sept 12, 1884, aged 1 years, 10 months, and 2 days. The funeral services were conducted at the residence of Mohlon Crampton, Rev J M Lewis officiating, after which a large concourse of friends accompanied the parents to the Wheeling cemetery, where all that is mortal of our little friend was laid quietly to rest. When parents are called upon to lose a little one which causes blasted hopes and a gloomy home, there is a pleasure in knowing that it is freed from the temptations of this life, and with that purity of mind which it had when it was received from the Creator, it has ascended to the court of the Most High. |
