John Wesley Canady, better known as Wesley Gordon died yesterday morning and fifteen minutes before 8 o'clock, at the resi-
dence of Robt Gordon. He has been a sufferer for nearly two years with that terrible disease consumption. He was in his 30th year
and well known in this community. His funeral took place ten o'clock this morning.

carriage and Long & Collins for cab, the use of which they donated at the funeral of our son to-day. We also desire to return
our heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Geo. Elliott, Mrs. Wm. Knapp, and Mrs. Geo. Turner for kindness shown our son during his sickness.

Through some misunderstanding in regard to time, the sexton did not have the grave of Wesley Gordon completed when the funeral
cortege arrived at the cemetery, which caused a delay of nearly half an hour.
