by death from time to eternity, and

Whereas, Bro. Burcoy during his connection with htis lodge, was a consistent temperence man,
and by precept and example exhibited and taught the great principles of our Order, Therefore

Resolved, That in the death of Bro. Burcoy we recognize the truth of that law which de-
clares dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return, and his demise admonishes the living
to be prepared for this change that awaits mankind at the end of their earthly servitude.

Resolved that this is the first instance of death's invasion of our ranks, and one link in the
chain of our fraternal circle is removed, may the lessonn serve to rouse us all to greater act-
ivity, that we may emulate each other in deeds of goodness in the cause we have espoused.

Resolved, That as our Brother was a valiant soldier in the armies of the nation, he was equally
as valiant as a soldier in the ranks of Good Templary, and although poor in this world's goods
he was rich in those characteristics that combine to make the good citizen and contented man.

Resolved, That we sympathize with the bereaved friends of the deceased in their great trial, but
believe that what is their great loss is his gain.

County papers. By order of the Lodge.
