Death Of A Pioneer The death of Joseph S. Brown, a pioneer of the county, occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William T. Downing, at an early hour Tuesday morning after a long illness. He was well known over the county, and he had resided in Harrison township a number of years. He had spent spent the greater part of his life in Delaware county. The funeral will be conducted Thursday morn- ing at 10 o'clock. Interment will be made in the Nottingham cemetery. One son, W. H. Brown, of near Gaston, and one daughter, at whose home he died, are the only survivors.
