Dropped Dead
This morning about 9:30 o'clock Samuel Brennen dropped dead while at work at Snyder;s cooper shop. He had been ailing for several weeks, but managed to keep at work. Immediately before his demise he was hooping a tub and seemed to be in fair health, but when he started to put on the last hoop he put his right hand to his left side over his heart and exclaimed "Oh" and then sank to the floor. Dr Peyton was called, but found the man dying and therefore could not not render any aid. He was conveyed to his home on West Jackson street. Mr Drennen was subject to heart trouble and had a similar attack a few days ago. The funeral will occur from the Universalist church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and will be conducted by Rev T S Guthrie. Interment in Beech Grove cemetery.
