Yesterday a man came into the office of Auditor Murray and asked if there was a gentleman living in this city by the name of George Bower.
Mr. Wilson informed him that such a man lived here and was a carriage maker. The man said that he was not the one, but the one he was
talking of lived on Anthonytown. He was referred to Morris Jones who informed him where the family of George Bower lived, but said that
he had left his family about two weeks ago and had not been heard from since. The man then said that Mr. B. had come to Hartford and had
taken sick and died. When he told the family they seemed to take the affair rather easy, not sheding a tear; but after considering the
matter, concluded to go to Hartford and attend the funeral, where they went last evening.
