Bean Caused Child's Death
Pneumonia Developed After Operation Had Been Performed
Carl Beall, 2, little son of Mr and Mrs Arch Beall, of Smithfield, swallowed a bean last Saturday which caused his death yesterday afternoon. The bean lodged in the child's throat and remained there until Monday, when an operation was performed to remove it. The condition of the child, already weakened, grew worse and pneumonia developed, resulting in death. the funeral will be conducted from the Smithfield church at 10:30 o'clock Friday morning. Interment will be made in Sparr cemetery.
