Jacob Barrett

On the 22nd inst., Mr. Jacob Barrett, a highy respected citizen and well known in this county, died at his home near Hartford City in the 54th year of his age. Mr. Barrett served in the Mexican war with the Indiana volunteers and in Col. Lance regiment. He also served in the late war in the 9th Indiana cavalry. Thus another of Indiana's brave heroes has passed away. Mr. Barrett was, we are informed, a brave soldier, a good citizen and an honorable man. Peace to his ashes.
