The pall bearers at the funeral of the late William Barnes were Messrs A J Claypool, J W Heath, James Sparr, S O Budd, F E Putnam, and William Bennett. It is coincident that three of these gentlemen were born in the same year, 1829. Dr Budd in Nov, Mr Claypool in Aug, and Mr Heath in Feb. Mr Sparr was born in 1817, Mr Putnam in 1818, and Mr Bennett in 1826. |
