Frank E Hering, Former National President of Eagles, Scores Legislatures of State The legislatures of Indiana were scored Sunday afternoon by Frank E Hering, of South Bend, because they have failed to pass a mother's pension law. Mr Herring was the chief speaker at memorial services held by Muncie Aerie No 231, Fraternal Order of Eagles, in the Star Theater. Mr Hering formerly was a national president of the order. He held up the family as the unit of society, rather than the individual. Eighty percent of the membership of the Eagles, he pointed out, is composed of working men. Twenty-six members of the local aerie have died and it was in memory of them that the services were held. twenty-six chairs, each draped and wreathed, were on the stage, and as the name of each deceased member was read by the secretary, W Ralph Gates, a small bell sounded the roll call response.
