under the firm name of Weaver & Vaughn. Their house was opened to the public one year ago, and the industry of the firm has been rewarded by a gradually increasing trade. The establishment comprises two departments of trade. In the glass and queensware department is exhibited a well assorted stock, varied and comprehensive enough to meet the wants of a growing city and country trade. In the grocery department is kept constantly on hand a choice stock, consisting of staple and fancy groceries, teas, coffees, sugars, syrups, canned goods, provisions and fresh country produce. Their trade is principally local, extending over the city and its immediate surroundings. Their stock is carefully and judiciously selected and contains nothing of an inferior nature, while their prices are uniform and satisfactory. Hannah Weaver and Julia A. Vaughn are both natives of this state. They possess good mercantile attainments and enjoy the confidence and esteem of the entire community. |
