Kings. The cover page for the New Testament gives a publication date of 1850. Writing appears in various places including inside the front cover and the family
records pages between the testaments. This Bible is currently in the collection of the webmaster.

I sent last monday a registered letter with $25.00, is that enough to pay all expenses and bring you home & bring all of your close that need washing. Get a valiece or roll them up. Probably we will not write any more or at most once more. We sold our hogs a $4.00 per hundred weighed (20 of them) 4,560 lbs. Billy McCollin(?)had his house burned last week and Rufus Lumpkin had his old house burned last Monday night. Write and let us know if you received the money. We are all well at this writing.
